Little known fact:I have competed in several different latte art competitions and managed my own cafe when I was 19!

Little known fact:As a child I once lived in a rainforest, & travelled Australia in a converted passenger bus with my hippy parents!

On working at the AC:Upon my very first visit to the Arts Connection, I saw, heard, tasted, and felt such a tremendous sense of creativity and acceptance, that I uttered to myself, 'Lucky stars, this is Exactly where I want to be!' The AC community is fantastic - I feel so fortunate that I get to teach, laugh, and brainstorm along side the super staff and I get to explore creative solutions with each of the awesome kids who attend!
Little known fact:I run a doll hospital, restoring old dolls and customizing new ones too.
Ask me about:Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop, I have been exploring Digital Design since I was 8, and I'm ancient! ;)
Childhood dream:To master underwater photography at the Great Barrier Reef, while swimming with turtles.
On working at the AC:I truly love working at the Arts Connection because working with children has always been a passion of mine. I feel so fortunate that I get to work here alongside the amazing staff and children. I believe in being a good role model as a lifelong learner. I try my hardest to go beyond in lesson planning to ensure that students have every opportunity to succeed and be creative.

About working at the AC:Teaching our students at the Arts Connection brings me happiness. I would like to share a fresh perspective on my expertise in my celebrated fields of both visual art and performing art with them. I will help them to e xpress themselves, unleash their creative sides, and develop their own artistic styles.

On working at the AC:The creative potential within each young mind continually amazes me. I learn just as much from the young ones attending AC as I hope they may learn from me. Every day is a new adventure, one I greet with open arms!
Little known fact:I love being in the great outdoors, hiking, camping, swimming, sailing, rock climbing and so on. If it's outside and requires a little dirt on the jeans - count me in!
Ask me about:Shifting our society's view towards children and youth, so we may see them as agents of positive change, with their acute sense of justice, resilient characters, and desire to work towards a better future for all mankind.
Childhood dream:To be an Olympic runner (as I would chase the geese around the park)
On working at the AC:It's such a treat to be working with such passionate and caring teachers and students. You can tell how much everyone loves being at Spark! because there are always so many smiling faces around. I am excited to be part of this amazing team and hope that many of our students leave Spark! as enthralled by the arts as we are.
Little known fact:I am a trained opera singer! I focus mainly on musical theatre and other classical music genres now, but much of my formal training is in opera.
Ask me about:Disney! I love all things Disney and am gradually working my way towards visiting all of the theme parks.
Childhood dream:To be a doctor! How I ended up as a performer is anyone's guess!
On working at the AC:The Arts Connection is a place where educators can come together in an environment that promotes thinking outside of the box and putting students first. Instructors are encouraged to teach subjects that they are passionate about, which leads to fun and exciting things happening every day.
Little known fact:In 2006 I traveled around Cuba performing in my high school Jazz band and African drum circle. We visited many different schools and music conservatories, and got to perform alongside local music students.

On working at the AC:I am so excited to be in this adventure working with all of the awesome staff and students at The Arts Connection. As a camp counsellor, I fell in love with the creative, imaginative, and adventurous shenanigans we would all get into. It's great to have the opportunity to explore and make art with a group of stellar students even when it's not summer! I truly believe that kids have so much to teach us, and I'm thrilled to have the opportunity to learn, and to use my artsfy-fartsy brain for creative, educational fun!
Little known fact:I collect hobbies. Current favourites, rock-climbing, foraging, film photography, and surfing! Oh and juggling! And banjo!
